7-9 YEAR OLDS 1ST PLACE - EMALYN PETERSON, 2ND PLACE - VALERIE JORGENSEN, 3RD PLACE - ZAREN REICH, 4TH - DANIEL KINSLOW
REALLY FAST CLASS - 1ST PLACE - PETER REICH, 2ND PLACE - NOAH HOUSE ( I COMMEND THEM ON THEIR SPORTSMANSHIP AS WELL ).
WE ONLY HAD ONE KID CRY BUT IT WASN'T BECAUSE OF AN ACCIDENT, HE WAS JUST TRYING TO LISTEN TO HIS DAD WHO TOLD HIM TO STAY TO THE INSIDE OF THE TRAIL STAKES. NOT FULLY UNDERSTANDING HE MEANT THE INSIDE OF THE TRACK SO HE WENT TO THE "INSIDE" OF THE STAKES. THE POOR KID, AS I RED FLAGGED HIM HE CAME IN AND STARTED CRYING. HE WAS SCARED OF ME I GUESS. SO WE RESTARTED AND HE WAS HESITANT BUT DID REALLY WELL IN THE NEXT HEAT AND CROSS COUNTRY RACE. WE DID HAVE A COUPLE OF TIP OVERS, ONE TAIL LIGHT SMASHED, THE USUAL TRYING OF GETTING KIDS ORGANIZED, BUT IT WAS A LOT OF FUN FOR MOM, DAD, THE KIDS AND OF COURSE FOR US.
I CAN'T SAY THIS ENOUGH BUT WHERE ELSE CAN YOU HAVE THIS MUCH FUN FOR A 5 DOLLAR ENTRY FEE. LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT SUNDAY. |

We had our first kid's race of the year on sunday, the weather was a little chilly. the race track for the speed ovals had been expanded quite a bit as the ditches at the far end have been filled.
We had a fair turn out of 6 kids and for four of them it was their first race, the other two are experienced racers so we raced them against each other and ran two rookie classes.
Due to other events our only opening for the next race is next Sunday Dec.4, 2011. It will be at the Big lake lions den, registration starts at 11 AM, races start at 12 noon. Hope to see you folks there. Weather pending we will schedule races in January.
